NDIS Participants

Belong Health is a registered NDIS provider, supporting participants across Perth, Mandurah, Rockingham and surrounding regions.
We welcome participants who are:

Depending on your plan and goals, NDIS funding may be used for eligible therapy services, assessments, reports and associated travel costs in accordance with current NDIS pricing arrangements.

Before your first appointment, we'll guide you through the service agreement, discuss your goals and provide a copy of our current fee schedule.
Private Clients

You don't need to have NDIS funding to access Belong Health.

Many individuals and families choose to access therapy or assessments privately, whether they're seeking early support, looking for answers through an assessment or simply prefer not to use another funding pathway.

Private appointments are available across many of our allied health services.
Medicare

Some allied health services may be eligible for Medicare rebates when referral requirements have been met.
Examples may include:
  • Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plans for eligible Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology services.
  • Mental Health Care Plans (MHCP) for eligible counselling or psychology services where applicable.
  • Psychology assessment pathways, where specific Medicare item numbers apply and referral requirements are met.
Eligibility, referral requirements and available rebates vary depending on the service being accessed and current Medicare criteria.

Our team is happy to explain the available options before your appointment.

​Note: Psychology assessment rebates are available only where eligibility criteria and referral requirements are met. Report writing is generally not covered by Medicare.
Private Health Insurance

Depending on your level of cover, your private health insurer may provide rebates for eligible allied health services, including Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Counselling or Registered Music Therapy.
As cover varies between insurers and policies, we recommend contacting your health fund before your appointment to confirm your individual entitlements.
Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA)

Eligible veterans may be able to access selected allied health services through the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA), subject to referral and funding requirements.
Our team can assist you in understanding the referral process and available services.
Self-Referrals

Accessing allied health services is often simpler than people expect.
For many services, you do not need a referral and can contact us directly.

Do I need a referral?
Not always.
Many of our services, including Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Counselling, Positive Behaviour Support and Registered Music Therapy, can be accessed without a referral.

Can I change clinicians if my needs change?

What happens at my first appointment?
Your first appointment will vary depending on the service you're accessing, but it's generally focused on getting to know you and understanding your goals.

What if my needs change after I start?
That's completely normal.
People's goals, priorities and support needs often change over time.
Your clinician will regularly review progress with you and adjust recommendations where appropriate. If another allied health service may also be beneficial, we can discuss coordinated support through our multidisciplinary team to ensure your services continue to reflect your current goals.

Can Belong Health work with my existing supports?
Yes.
With your consent, we regularly collaborate with parents, carers, families, schools, GPs, paediatricians, specialists, Support Coordinators, Plan Managers, employers, residential aged care providers and other allied health professionals.
Working together helps ensure recommendations are consistent and supports are coordinated around your goals.

Will I receive recommendations after therapy or an assessment?
Yes.
Depending on the service you're accessing, your clinician may provide recommendations, practical strategies, home activities, reports or referrals to other services where appropriate.
Our focus is on providing practical, meaningful recommendations that support participation, independence and quality of life beyond the appointment itself.

What if I'm still not sure where to begin?
That's completely okay.
Many people contact Belong Health because they know something doesn't feel quite right but aren't sure what support they need or which service to access first.
You don't need to have all the answers before reaching out.
