No. Most adults can contact us directly to enquire about Speech Pathology services. Depending on your funding pathway or referral source, additional documentation may sometimes be required. If you're unsure, our friendly team can guide you through the process.

Do you provide home visits?
Yes. We provide home and community-based Speech Pathology services throughout Baldivis, Rockingham and surrounding southern suburbs where clinically appropriate. Supporting people in their own environments often allows us to develop practical strategies that are meaningful in everyday life.

Do you offer telehealth?
Yes. Telehealth appointments are available across Western Australia where appropriate. This can be a flexible option for people who live further away, have difficulty travelling or prefer to access support from home.

NDIS

Belong Health is a registered NDIS provider and supports adults who are self-managed, plan-managed and NDIA-managed, where Speech Pathology is funded within their plan.

Speech Pathology may be funded when it is considered reasonable and necessary to help you work towards your NDIS goals. Depending on your individual circumstances, support may include:
  • Communication assessments.
  • Ongoing Speech Pathology therapy.
  • Swallowing and dysphagia support.
  • Cognitive communication therapy.
  • Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) assessment and support.
  • Education for families, carers and support workers.

You don't need to have NDIS funding to access our services.

Medicare

Some adults may be eligible to receive a Medicare rebate for Speech Pathology services under a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan, previously known as an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Plan.

Eligibility is determined by your General Practitioner (GP). If you're unsure whether you qualify, we recommend discussing this with your GP.
Please note that Medicare rebates generally contribute towards the cost of eligible consultations and may not cover the full appointment fee.
Do I Need a Referral?
