Falls Risk Assessments
Occupational Therapy Falls Risk Assessments at Belong Health
Supporting Safe Mobility, Independence and Confidence in Everyday Life
Falls can happen to people of all ages, but they become increasingly common when changes in mobility, balance, strength, cognition, vision, health conditions or the home environment affect everyday function. A fall can sometimes lead to injury, reduced confidence, loss of independence and difficulty participating in everyday activities.
At Belong Health, our Occupational Therapists provide comprehensive Falls Risk Assessments to identify factors that may increase the likelihood of falls and develop practical, individualised strategies to support safer participation in everyday life.
Rather than simply assessing balance, our Occupational Therapists consider how physical, cognitive, sensory and environmental factors work together to influence safety at home and within the community.
We provide Falls Risk Assessments for children, adolescents, adults and older adults throughout Perth, Mandurah, Rockingham, the Peel Region and wider Western Australia, completing assessments within homes, residential care facilities, community settings and clinics where appropriate.
