These assessments may be helpful where there are concerns about:

• Behaviour, routines, and flexibility
• Sensory sensitivities
• Emotional regulation
• Difficulties across home, school, or daily life
Assessments are completed using structured, evidence-based processes and may include questionnaires, clinical interviews, observation, and standardised tools.
A Clinical Psychologist is qualified to assess and diagnose Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD.
For ADHD, if medication is being considered, families will need to take the report to a paediatrician or psychiatrist, as psychologists do not prescribe medication.
For Autism, a diagnosis made by a Clinical Psychologist is a formal diagnosis. In some situations, schools or the NDIS may request multidisciplinary confirmation.
